In 1939, there was a second attempt to produce the animated film. However, the project was scrapped in favor of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Mary Pickford was attached to star as Alice. It was planned to be a combination of animation with live-action. The film would be the first theatrical animated feature-length film of Disney. The first attempt to produce an animated film adaptation of the classic novel of the same name written by Lewis Carroll. Some of these projects stem from simply Walt Disney Pictures.
